Buddy Senior Portrait Session in Bodega Bay
Best friend senior session? YES PLEASE! In Bodega Bay? EVEN BETTER!
We started Aliah and Jaydens Buddy Portrait Session out at Bodega Head where we caught the tail end of the coastal wild lupine. These delightful yellow blooms sprinkle the entire hillside starting in May, and carry through most of the summer. Next year I definatly want to catch them at their peak.
The giggles were nonstop for the entire session. I think we fully captured their adorable friendship and just how in sync these two are. I love these sessions, I so wish I had done this! My BFF's from high school are still some of my best friends.
I was feeling artsy getting the blurred foreground with the flowers up close to my lens. I know I looked ridicules bending over the tall bushes trying to get the composition just right. Anything for the perfect portrait. (Almost anything :)
These type of sessions bring out the story telling aspect of being a professional photographer that I love! Can you image recreating some of these in twenty years?
The girls were just stunning under the overcast sky. Their matching tops were a perfect neutral, keeping our attention on their beautiful faces, oh and their gorgeous hair! You can find a similar look here. And how cute is this preppy version here.
After we had our fill of the pretty grass and yellow flowers we drove to the North end of Bodega Bay and hiked down to a pretty little hidden beach with bright blue skies and lots of drift wood. Climbing through the creek and on the rocks, playing in the waves and under the drift wood castles gave us lots of variety. The girls continued to play and be themselves as I snapped away!
The morning breeze is perfect for portrait sessions. (<----- my favorite time to photograph on the beach)
