Sonoma California Summer Wedding under the Oaks
Some weddings just really stick with you and remind you of why you love doing what you do! That was was definitely the case for the wedding of Taylor Serres & Guido Murnig. These two got married on a perfect Sonoma County afternoon, under the oak trees. Not just ant oaks, oak trees in the middle of the vineyard on her families cattle ranch! You read that right, under the oaks, in the middle of a vineyard! It just doesn't get anymore Sonoma County then that! The Entire day was absolutely beautiful, every detail was thought of, and the family ranch was the absolute best choice for their wedding venues.
The day started with Taylor getting ready in her childhood home with 9 of her besties and family all over the place. There were babies and excited Mothers, the place was buzzing with joy and excitement.
Just down the driveway on the family compound the groom, his brother and friends were getting ready at the couples Pinterest ready home. A good family friend played old country classics on the guitar and Banjo for the guys to enjoy.
Guido wanted to make a bet about whether or not he would cry. I think he still owes me $20 he says he just teared up so it doesn't count.
Because of the 1st look we were able to do all of the family and bridal party formal portraits before the ceremony. All of the nieces and nephews were killing it with cuteness!
Next up was the ceremony in the middle of the vineyard. The family hired 4 busses to bus 300 guest out to the ceremony site. There they were greeted with tea, lemonade, a string quartet and the most amazing 360' views. The 100's of year old trees created the perfect amount of shade over the hay bales used as seats.
A sweet ceremony was performed by a good family friend, and the bride was preceded by her nieces & nephews in a wagon on ring patrol!
The guest were then shuttled back to the family home where cocktail hour was in full swing with 2 bars, an oyster bar, amazing cheeses and appetizers being passed around. Family wine was shared, cocktails were had and floating in the pool was a heard on Long horns.
When I say no detail was forgotten I am mostly talking about this amazing reception site! The details were perfection! Personal and curated perfectly! The dinner tables felt like a playground for this photographer.
Dinner started with a plated summer tomatoes salad and delicious course continued to come out, while the couple slipped out for sunset photos!
I just have no more words for the beauty of this property! Stunning! This couple adorable!
After photos the speeches began! All touching speeches that had everyone laughing and crying! The real tears began for everyone when Taylors dad said that she will always be his little girl.
Now this my might be my favorite detail from the day. The couple flew in up and coming Nashville star Jared Hovis and band to keep the dance floor hoping all night!
I am really looking forward to watching this young couples future family grow!
A giant THANK YOU! To Megan Clouse for bringing me along as a second photographer on this wonderful day!
