Looking to tie the knot in Sonoma County? Have you found your perfect Northern California Wedding Venue to say I do? If Wine country is at the top on your list to wear your something borrowed and something blue, then you are looking in the right place.
Have I mentioned that I live in Sonoma County? Lucky me! I get to work and play in one of the most beautiful places in the whole wide world! Sonoma County's year round mild weather, rolling hills, and the sandy california coast right next to the redwood forrest is a picture perfect destination. Which is exactly why you and your friends and family will have an amazing time here.
But you already know all of this if you looking in Sonoma County for your wedding day venue. So how can I help? I have an insiders view! I can help with some details about a few of my favorite Northern California wedding venues. With over 8 years of wedding experience I have worked with some of the best wedding professionals, at some of these gorgeous locations multiple times a year.
Below are a few details I have learned being an insider at some of the best Sonoma County wedding Venues.
Located in the town of Geyseryville in the northern end of Sonoma County this Winery is a perfect fit for almost all celebrations. They have expansive lawns, breathtaking views and a huge indoor space should the weather get a little cooler.
Geyserville is a quaint little town with one main st. on this little street you will find some amazing restaurants and shops. Nestled in the valley the weather tends to be a little on the warmer side, which makes for beautiful evenings. As far as overnight guest accommodations go, there is one hotel and several airbnbs close by. If those are. booked up your guest do not have to travel far because neighboring Healdsburg has several options available and is just 5 minutes down the freeway.
Do you want a vineyard view or the mountains for your ceremony? Because they have both. Your choice! Both beautiful. The west side of the lawn is outlined with redwood trees that create the perfect amount of shade for your guest during the ceremony.
When I say huge indoor space, I mean big, big enough for a 12 piece band + a dance floor + your guest! This room is full of windows with natural light peaking in on 3 sides and white walls, creating a blank canvas for your vision. Speaking of size this is one of the larger Wedding Venues and it can accommodate over 250+ guest.
A unique feature at Trenatdue is their grape arbor. In the late summer early fall when this arbor is full of leaves and the tables are covered in drippy candles you will feel like your having dinner at a villa in Italy with all of your closest family and friends. It really is an unbelievable sight. Another unbelievable sight is the sunset. Its always fun to watch guest go crazy over the way the light hits the east mountain side right before it goes over the west hill. The sky turns cotton candy blue, pink and purple. This is better than any photo booth you could set up.
Last but not least, the staff at Trentdue are always friendly. Friendly and efficient, spaces get set up quickly, quietly and set to perfection. All in all these a things add up to a perfect day.
Next up on my list is Vintners Inn & Resort
Vineyard views, amazing food and a space large enough for everyone are a few of the reasons that Vintners Resort is an amazing option for your destination wedding. What sets it apart form the rest? Lodging! A place for your guest to stay right on property. Big newly updated rooms and 2 restaurant choices, with out ever having to get in the car.
Getting ready on site has never been easier. Large suites create the perfect spot to gather with your bridal party and family pre ceremony. Having this space helps create some beautiful images for your wedding album, and aids in a stress free day leading up to the evenings events. I Love, love, love when the entire day can all take place within walking distance.
Not only is this venue convenient, but its also beautiful! Everywhere you look are well manicured landscapes against beautiful Tuscan style buildings. Creating so many options for events that are not always easy to find locations for, such as a private 1st look or shade for large bridal parties.
For the events of the day with more specific location needs, the options are amazing! Vineyard views are at the top of the list for their vast ceremony site, which has a guest capacity of 350 people. Cocktail hour, dinner and dancing can all be in one location or split between the ballroom and terrace options at the Bell Tower building.
I can't write about Vintners Inn and not mention the food! Dinner is ALWAYS amazing! And creative, my favorite from this last year was a mashed potato bar with all the toppings and a Mac n cheese station where you could add all sorts of amazing ingredients. Feed me mash potatoes and I am a happy girl!
We can not forget about my absolute favorite part of the day! Golden hour, right before sunset! With so many options to explore, I have found my favorites to be the tree lined driveway. I love the way the light filters trough the trees. And the vineyard lined with olive trees. The sun setting to the west over the create the most spectacular skies.
The best way to end your evening at this venue is with a portrait with the spectacular fountain. Over the years we have had so much fun getting creative with it. Here are a few of my favorites.
Nestled up on the hillside of Santa Rosa the gorgeous property might win the Best View award. it is an absolute artist playground. It might be best known for the famous LOVE sign, but that is just one of the many sculptures scattered all around the property. This venue has a soft spot in my heart after I got a private tour from Dr. Beck himself! He drove me around telling me about all of his favorite spots and where the best views are. He has a genuine love for the property and its reflected in everything that you see.
Dr Beck is just one of the many personalities that give this Winery character. The staff here is great, and very knowledgeable about the wines and sustainability of the property.
But down to what you want to know, the event spaces are perfection. Large, full of pretty light and again it wins for the views. All day long, but evening time is definatly a site to see. You feel like you are on top of the world.
The recently rebuilt indoor spaces offer a pretty bridal suite complete with mirrors and seating for your party. The light walls and huge ceilings make this a designers dream, ready to fill for any brides vision. With a capacity of 250 guest it can accommodate all events indoor or outdoor depending on the time of year and your preferences.
The outdoor options for photos are unlimited! In addition to the vineyard views the landscapes include wildflowers in the spring, creative art pieces every where and a gorgeous grove in the middle of the oaks. All lending to some very creative options.
Once starting this article I realized that it could be much longer then I intended! I didn't think I had so much to share about each venue, so Im going to break it up into a few blog post. I hope this information about the northern Sonoma County area has been helpful. Stay tuned for the other Sonoma Napa regions.
xoxo
