Flying cloud Farms was the perfect Sonoma County venue for Saturdays intimate wedding.
Katie and Jeff were joined by 25 of their closest family and friends and their 10 month old daughter Hailey!
Classic story of 2022, couple had plans for a 2019 wedding, wedding got postponed, wedding got rescheduled for 2020, couple is expecting, wedding gets postponed to 2022 where their beautiful little bundle of joy is joining them!
I think this is the story that will be written in the history books about 2022, 2 of the 5 weddings I have photographed already this year have had this same tale. Its so beautiful and so sweet, just like Saturdays family.
I started the afternoon with Jeff and his 4 brothers + dad helping him put the finishing touches on. The cuff links the tie, the sun glasses :) This is usually the part that gets me, the brotherly love. Having 4 boys of my own its so easy to relate to their relationships. I made it out with no tears shed.
Next I headed to Katies room where she was joined by Hailey, her mother, cousins and some of her closest friends. Hailey had a little cousin her same age to crawl around with!
Here I captured a few quite moments of Katie and Hailey together in addition to the traditional bridal portraits.
The ceremony by officiant Rose Barboza was sweet as always. I love when she talks about each partner being their own personal best instead of seeking the best person, its about being the best for each other. Such a great way to start a marriage. Jeff and Katie then each read personal vows and both included stories about her 1st date and how they ended up here today.
They then slipped away for a few moments to them selves to dry their eyes and freshen up before some private couples photos. We took a quick little stroll down the driveway lined with eucalyptus tress, champagne in hand of course!
Back at the Party, they kicked it off with an official announcement and their 1st dance as husband and wife. Then on to a buffet lunch catered by Sally Tomatoes, always delicious!
We ended the afternoon with some family portraits. Quick and organized we sailed right through them. I made it almost the whole wedding without crying once, until we got to one photo. It was a photo of Jeff, Katie, Jeffs dad, grandma, aunt and a picture of Jeffs mother. The unspoken sadness was almost more then I could handle, you could feel how much she was missed! But the family all smiled, hugged each other, and continued to celebrate this special day.
a few pretty little details!
Thank you Katie and Jeff for trusting me with your precious moments! I look forward to watching your sweet family grow.
